Motivation Monday

I know....nice weather is here.  The last thing you want to do is go to work.  I am sure with nice weather here, you probably don't even want to do any crafting.  And you are probably thinking "Ugh...it's Monday again."    Well, it is time to kick Monday in the butt!  Use your Mondays to plan out your week.  I am going to plan to do my crafting this week at night when we are inside for the night.  I will use my days and evenings to be outside.  Although, I have 3 appointments this week.

I know Mondays can be a drag.  I don't work outside the home except my Avon business.  Because of this, I really don't have a "Monday" but I remember what it is like to have them.
So, here is me wishing you a great Monday and a successful week in whatever you do!

Motivation Monday

Do you ever find yourself in a dry spell?  Your creativity is shut down and you can't find inspiration in anything?  When is this state, do you find nothing motivates you?

I really need to find my motivation again.  I have been slacking lately.  I started an afghan and now it just sits there.  I also started a pom-pom rug and it just sits there.  I think maybe it is because nicer weather is here and I know I won't be sitting around crafting. I also think that it could be from not selling anything in my Facebook group   or from my online shop at Crafty Bids.

Anyhow, I have decided to do "Motivational Monday"  here and on my new Pinterest board.  I hope that you will find that perfect quote that will help you get motivated.

Bye-Bye Etsy, Hello Crafty Bids

Way back in 2008, I opened my first Etsy shop.  I have been a part of the Etsy community off and on since then.  I have left for several reasons:  sick of paying fees and not making money was always the biggest reason.  Well, went back to Etsy back in January of 2017.  I have regretted it ever since.  Not only are there  the same old issues but now,  one has to deal with being reported to Etsy for the littlest issues and risk being closed down.  The big companies like Disney are sweeping the shops and if you have anything in your shop with the word Disney or any word Disney related, they will have you shut down.
Now, on to the buyers and sellers.  There is sooooo much drama on the facebook groups.  All I ever see is complaining.  People putting each other down.  On Etsy, people are giving bad reports for almost no reason.  They are trying to get refunds for items purchased months ago so, then complain to Etsy and Paypal when a seller is following their own policies.

Today, I discovered Crafty Bids.  CraftyBids is a marketplace dedicated to handmade and vintage goods! Guests can browse through sellers products or open up their very own shop and enjoy exclusive benefits such as free listings, and auction style pricing optio
ns.
Remember the wreaths I was working on?  Well. I finished them and they were the first items I listed on Crafty Nids.

Projects!

Hi everyone!  I'm sorry I have left you all high n dry.  I have been busy!  I have been making Pom-Pom Wreaths!  I also had surgery on March 6th and am recovering from that.

Who knew that making Pom-Pom Wreaths would be so time consuming!  Below are the ones I have made so far.  They are not finished yet.  I still have to trim yarn tails and glue some of the pom-poms in place.  Once this is done, I will make a new post showing each wreath individually!

This one is the one I am currently  working on.

As I said, they aren't finished yet but, stay tuned for the finished projects!

On a side note, the hubby and i did get some of our herbs and veggies started!

What have you been working on?  Share in the comments!

Introduction

Hello!  My name is April Lewin. I am the owner and creator at Clockville crafts!
Everything from traditional to trendy crafts!
I am a Stay-at Home-Mom whose passions include Family, Avon and Crafts.

I started loom knitting in or around 2012 as a hobby. I started making S'mores favors after attending a wedding at which the favors were s'mores and that started my interest in making candy arrangements.

My husband and I have raised 8 children and have only one left at home. She graduates high school in June of 2017.

I spend my days working my Avon business and my craft business. During the day, I go down to my craft room and work on different projects like yarn-wrapped wreaths, candy arrangements or other trendy crafts.

At night, while my husband is watching tv and our daughter is doing whatever in her room, you can find me loom knitting a hat, scarf or blanket.
